In the seven years between 1971 and 1978, Sweet registered fifteen Top 40 hits in the UK. There will be many who remember Sweet as one of the leading glam rock groups of the era, but their later hits such as 'Action' and 'Fox On The Run', both written by the group, gave hint of a rock foundation in there too.

Led by the charismatic frontman Brian Connolly, Sweet also proved a hit worldwide, scoring nine American hits. This album features Brian Connolly on the twelve best known songs from the Sweet era, recorded shortly before his death from renal failure in 1997.
